Petroleum Laboratory Supervisor

Job Description
Responsibilities (Job Summary)

Sample reporting and coordinating with operation.
Responsible for sample storage and disposal.
Responsible for analyzing SQC samples, interpreting data and responding to any condition as identified by this procedure.
Maintain and update the calibration record of the test equipment.
Checks correctness of equipment calibration record.
Educate and train (where applicable) chemists and other Lab Staff.
Ensure corrective actions are implemented for Test method Assessment findings.
Ensure that Proficiency testing samples are done and reported on time.
Report instances of non-conformances to the appropriate line management.
Conduct Risk assessment.
Responsible for initiating / establishing Non-Conformance Report.
Responsible to the client for subcontractors work except where the customer or regulatory authority specifies the subcontractor to be used.
Intervene when an unsafe act or condition is observed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (Chemistry)
Additional Information
Required Skills: - 

Familiar with the Best laboratory practices.
Able to record validation data’s and following method validation.
Able to interact with management and clients.
Good experience on software 
Good knowledge on housekeeping and safety procedures.
Sound understanding of the technical aspect of the section including methods, calibration maintenance and reporting LIMS procedures.
Sound understanding of ISO 9001 & ISO 17025 requirements as applicable to the section.
Good Leadership skills
